The LJH research group is based at the School of Chemistry, Newcastle University, UK. We are primarily focused on investigating organometallic chemistry, which is continuing to enter exciting new territory with developments in medicinal, catalytic and materials research.
As a group, we have our own photochemical apparatus, electrochemical analysis facility, both chiral GC and HPLC analytical facilities, our own internal quantum chemical computational network, high-pressure autoclaves and associated multi-gas supply facility, microwave reaction capability, the usual Schlenk-line equipment and glassware and first class NMR and X-ray crystallographic support and expertise, provided by the School.
The group members have included researchers from Oman, the United States, Germany, Italy, Ghana, Spain, Mexico, Malta and Poland and as such we encourage a multicultural, interdisciplinary philosophy. We continue to collaborate with the best academic research teams and industry from all over the world.
If you are a student who would like to work on one of our ideas, or maybe you have one of your own, whether you are based here in Newcastle or in a far-flung corner of the world, then please get in touch, we would love to hear from you: lee.higham@ncl.ac.uk
If you are a large multinational or a regional SME interested in discussing research opportunities together, please also contact us at the above e-mail address.
